Nick Denson is a former senior editor at Recode.
He left in August.
Denton joins Recode as senior editor of content for tech and business.
Recode also announced in October that the Recode Network would be shutting down.
Recoding has had a long run.
Recodes coverage of the 2016 election, the 2016 Democratic convention, and the 2020 presidential election will continue, with Recode programming and content curated by the network.
In October, the network announced that its digital properties would be acquired by Google and Google Ventures, two companies that previously owned Recode, but are now owned by Facebook.
Recoded co-founder David Perdue will lead the company, according to Recode co-founders and former CEO and co-chairman Evan Williams.
Recod is currently in the process of transitioning to a new, smaller and more streamlined structure that will focus on its core audience.
Denson will remain on the staff of Recode and will be a co-owner of Recoded’s parent company Vox Media, which is a media and technology company that provides content for various media platforms including Vox Media.
